I was surprised Hermantown didn't show up today. Their first defeat of the year coming in the final game had to be tough. St. Thomas, in its 5-1 victory, successfully defending its state title by taking control of the game immediately.
Seven players combined from Hermantown and STA made the all-tournament team.
The two AA teams I expected to meet in the finals played for the Consolation Title. Duluth East won 4-1. Just goes to show any team can win on any day. East brought its "A" game tonight, which it didn't do Thursday night.
